SMART DEVICES: 5 NEW GADGETS TO TRY OUT

SMART DEVICES: 5 NEW GADGETS TO TRY OUT

Just a month ago, the IFA in Berlin came to an end, the grand event dedicated to innovation for all. Tech enthusiasts who paid attention noted that major trends are converging towards artificial intelligence and sustainable development. IoT (Internet of Things) is everywhere. It simplifies our daily lives, anticipates our needs, and is even capable of helping reduce our carbon footprint. So, let’s take a journey with Shoelifer to discover the 5 smart devices you should  try out in the (more or less) near future!

Would you like a little R2-D2 ?

Are robots about to enter our lives? It’s quite possible! Perhaps you’ve seen snippets from the big presentation given by Tesla’s CEO on October 11 in Los Angeles. The prototype humanoid robot developed by Elon Musk is shown serving cocktails and chatting with guests. The Silicon Valley big boss promises that, by 2025, his Tesla Optimus robots will have real jobs in his automotive production plants. The idea is, of course, to test and put them and give them trial runs before offering them as domestic assistants. You’ve guessed it; we are almost in that future that seemed so far away just a few years ago!

A technological mix of mechanical prowess and artificial intelligence, these robots—though they still need adjustments—are already truly impressive. For now, they are still smart devices that  require human involvement. Nevertheless, the richest man in the world, according to Forbes, assures us that his prototypes gain autonomy every day. His goal? To make them life companions capable of assisting us in all daily tasks. Don’t feel like watering your plants, walking your dog, or going to the post office? Optimus should be able to do it for you.

This is, of course, a prototype that will need to evolve further over the coming years. However, the founder of SpaceX promises to dedicate all necessary resources to bring his humanoid robots to market. Whether it’s a real project or a publicity stunt, whispers already circulate about an approximate price of $20,000 to $30,000.

Tesla robots autonomous or remote controlled ? Warner Brothers Studios, Burbank, California, USA 🇺🇸 5:00pm – Oct 10, 2024 The highly anticipated Optimus humanoid robots, which made an appearance at Tesla’s robotaxi event on Thursday, have sparked a debate over whether they were operating autonomously or controlled by humans. While the robots interacted with attendees, reports from those present suggest the technology may not yet be fully AI-driven. Gene Munster of Deepwater Asset Management, who attended the event, raised concerns about whether the robots were being controlled by humans. Josh Wolfe, co-founder of Lux Capital, took it further, calling the demonstration a “parlor trick,” suggesting it showcased low-latency remote control rather than advanced autonomous technology. During the event, Tesla CEO Elon Musk promoted the Optimus robots, claiming they would eventually cost between $20,000 and $30,000 and be capable of performing a variety of tasks. Musk also highlighted Tesla’s significant progress, noting the project had evolved from a person in a robot suit to more advanced prototypes. Despite the excitement, Tesla shares fell 7.95% by Friday afternoon following the event. #tesla #robot #teslarobot #news #technews #fyp #foryoupage #newsviral

Like in the movies!
A little over a month ago, Samsung unveiled a series of new smart devices.  Our editorial team was excited about the new projector from the South Korean brand, named The Premiere. This is the new gadget (a bit pricey, it should be noted) that will allow you to enjoy your series, movies, games, or even photos in XL version. Equipped with an ultra-short focal length, it can project onto any surface, adapting to the architecture and dimensions of your interior. You only need to move it about thirty centimeters from the wall to obtain a 120-inch image!

The laser technology developed by Samsung ensures a 4K rendering, truly like in the cinema with nearly a billion colors. The built-in soundbar provides an immersive experience. Finally, thanks to Samsung’s operating system, Tizen OS, you can wirelessly view all types of content and project them as you wish. This is definitely projected to be a gadget in high demand!  We are eagerly waiting for it to be available at Samsung Morocco.

Glam’connection

When it comes to technological innovation, Saad Chaoui and his company Ask Me Digital Morocco, which we’ve mentioned before in Shoelifer, are at the forefront. This digital addict has a knack for finding and offering smart devices  that change the game. The latest, and certainly not the least, is a Glambot. What is it, you may ask? Well, it’s a sort of flexible robot arm equipped with a high-speed camera that captures and creates live slow-motion videos. It’s the new smart device that will transform any of your events into ultra-instagrammable clips!

Gone are the old-fashioned souvenir photos; the Glambot captures and generates super glamorous images of your guests. With a spotlight on them, the camera films and transforms their participation into a little video, customizable to your liking. Recharge (all) your batteries!

If, like us, you’re over-equipped with smart devices, then, like us, you probably often face battery issues.  The Chinese manufacturer Anker has found the solution by developing an ultra-powerful and hyper-fast charging station. Equipped with 4 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports, the 250W charger (yes, that much!) will allow you to charge and/or power 6 devices simultaneously. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc., anything you can think of with a port! .

If the device looks like an old-school radio alarm clock, it’s because its small LCD screen lets you keep an eye on various data.,such as the optimal charging speed or the voltage delivered to each device. Thanks to AI, Anker’s Prime Charger can even automatically detect the actual energy needs of each of your devices. For reference, it takes less than 20 minutes to charge a 50% MacBook Pro 16’’ from Apple compared to nearly 30 on a regular outlet. Practical and efficient.
