LIVELY RESTAURANTS: TWO NEW OUTSTANDING LOCATIONS IN MARRAKECH

Lively restaurants

In Marrakech, the editorial team is always on the lookout for a new lively restaurant, combining good food and the art of partying . Drumroll, please… Here are  two new locations that have already made a name for themselves  elsewhere: Noto and Boeuf sur le Toit. Raise the curtain!

Looking for a new lively restaurant in Marrakech? The editorial team has good news for you x 2 this holiday season. Attention to enthusiasts of good food and festivities: two iconic places from chic Paris are setting up in the ocher city. And it’s happening at Villa Yvette, in the heart of the Hivernage district.

Noto teleports to Marrakech

After Paris and Saint-Tropez, Noto has decided to settle in Marrakech. More precisely, in the garden level of Villa Yvette. On the menu? A journey for the taste buds to Italy to experience the dolce vita with  sunny, authentic, and generous cuisine offered by the prodigious chef Emilio Giagnoni. A former Four Seasons chef and native of Olbia in Sardinia, suffice it to say that he knows his stuff well and is eager to promote Italian gastronomic heritage in the Red City. As for visitors, they just have to indulge themselves under the Mamouni iroko pergola or in the cozy Art Deco room adorned with Curupau parquet.

Note that every Saturday and Sunday, from 12 pm to 5 pm, è tempo di brunch! (It’s brunch time, yes Shoelifer switched to Italian). On the menu, typical antipasti, primi, and secondi piatti, according to the chef’s inspiration. But the little extra touch from Noto is, of course, its cheerful gatherings, punctuated by live music in the early evening. Then from 10 pm, a DJ sets the place on fire with Italian pop music. That’s what we call the Festa Al Noto, which could well make it THE party restaurant in Marrakech.

Le Boeuf sur le Toit and a  music-hall Spirit

Obviously, we have to mention  the imminent  opening of Le Boeuf sur le Toit, also nestled in Villa Yvette in the Red City.  If you are not familiar with this emblematic Parisian hot spot, here’s the deal. In 1920s Paris, Le Boeuf sur le Toit was “the place to be,” the haunt of the intellectuals and artists of the time. Pablo Picasso, Coco Chanel, or even Josephine Baker partied there until the wee hours. The improvised concerts in this legendary music hall even gave rise to the expression “faire un bœuf” (to jam). Jazz, blues, and fox-trot straight from the United States could be  found  there.

Today, the soul of this legendary place makes a stop in Kech the ultimate party destination. Le Boeuf sur le Toit, which will open on January 4, 2024, takes place in a spectacular and glittering setting. Graphic designs, mirror effects, and a theater-like arched central stage where singers, artists, and performers with multiple talents and dazzling costumes follow one after another. It’s more than enough  to feast your eyes (yes, we also master the slang of hip Parisians). The editorial team told you, Le Boeuf sur le Toit is above all a lively restaurant. This means that, in addition to the show, the table is important. The style? Timeless and gourmet. It features the best of Parisian brasseries, with expertise that has maintained  its reputation for over 100 years.

A ambitious joint venture

For the most curious among you, you will know that the opening of these two lively restaurants is due to a partnership between two leading groups in their field: Yamed Group and Moma Group. The first is a leading integrated investor-operator group in the real estate sector in Morocco. And the second is a major French hospitality group creating innovative  concepts, with more than 30 restaurants in Paris, Saint-Tropez, Megève, London, and now Marrakech. For now, this joint venture has started its promising adventure with the opening of Noto and Le Boeuf sur le Toit in Marrakech, it aims to open more than a dozen establishments in the kingdom in the coming years. Let the party begin !
