WHERE TO STAY IN MARRAKECH: 3 SPOTS TO DISCOVER

Stay in Marrakech

Are you planning a trip to the Red City soon? If you’re looking for a chic and intimate retreat  to stay in Marrakech, Shoelifer presents three new places  to discover.

Feeling like a little getaway to recharge after a month of fasting? At the editorial office, we thought the charm of the Red City  would work wonders! If you’re not sure where to stay in Marrakech, Shoelifer has selected three spots, almost secrets, that should please you: a 19th-century palace with Moorish architecture, a guesthouse lost in the middle of an olive grove, and a riad that gives off good vibes. What do they have in common?  The promise of total disconnection!

Riad Brummell

Brand new and beautiful, Riad Brummell is located in a quiet area near Dar el Bacha, in the Medina of Marrakech. This little gem, which subtly combines elements of Moorish architecture with high-design furniture, is a true haven of peace. Everything has been renovated respecting the structure, with local materials (tadelakt, poured terrazzo). The decor, simple and unpretentious, focuses above all on comfort and functionality. Imagine artisan furniture blends with antiques and works of art…

Like the Brummell hotel in Barcelona or the guesthouse in Cerdanya, this eponymous riad is part of a new concept of discreet luxury. Indeed, the founder’s creed, Christian Schallert, is “less bling and more soul”.

The highlight of the place? A lovely rooftop with a pool to get a good view  and contemplate the sunset while sipping a cocktail.

Price: starting from 1500 DH per night
Address: 20 Derb Assabbane, Medina, Marrakech

Le Rosemary B&B

Newly opened  (November 2023), the Rosemary is a bed & breakfast located in the heart of the medina. Designed by LRNCE, this beautiful riad with five rooms showcases local craftsmanship and contemporary design. Indeed, the Belgian creator has perfected every detail to make you travel differently, in a magical atmosphere where you simply feel good. The decor, largely inspired by her (very poetic) universe, skillfully mixes vintage furniture, hand-painted ceramics, well-chosen designer lighting, terrazzo floors, wrought iron daybeds, and more. Everything is fresh, calm, and relaxing. If you don’t know where to stay in Marrakech, put your bags down at Rosemary! The rooms are very spacious (minimum area of 25 m2). If you feel like it, you can even take a dip in the pool to cool off. An on-site  hammam is also at your disposal.

Price (for a minimum stay of 2 nights): starting from approximately 6000 DH
Address: 25, rue de la Bahia, Marrakech

Farasha Farmhouse

30 minutes from Marrakech, the Farasha Farmhouse is a new accommodation concept that opened its doors a few months ago. This private haven located in the middle of a 3,5 hectare olive grove facing the Atlas Mountains offers breathtaking views! Between a hotel and a guesthouse, the Farasha Farmhouse offers a chic and bohemian interlude, a stay in Marrakech far from the hustle and bustle of the Red City.

With a capacity of 6 people, this pavilion consists of three bedrooms, a double living room, and an open kitchen. To perfect your moments of relaxation, the property  also has a bright patio and a 50 m lap pool.  With this additional logge , Fred and Rosena Charmoy (the founders) aim to offer their guests a different, more authentic experience. It’s an unusual and timeless place — ideal for disconnecting!

Price (for a minimum stay of 2 nights): starting from approximately 9000 DH
