Originating from across the Atlantic, Wall Pilates is the trending fitness discipline at the moment. By performing simple movements against a wall, it promises a toned and sculpted body in just one month. Interested in trying it out to form your own opinion? Here are 5 apps that make it easy to get started.
No need to introduce Pilates. Its benefits for the body and health are well established. However, in recent weeks, sponsored posts promoting the benefits of Wall Pilates have been popping up on social media. Wall Pilates consists of Pilates exercises performed against a wall. Among them is the 28-day challenge created by Tori Repa. The founder of BetterMe (a fitness app), she is also a certified health coach. She has become somewhat of a guru for Wall Pilates.
Why such enthusiasm? It seems that this sub-variant of the original discipline delivers rapid results. In just 4 weeks, it’s possible to sculpt your body (almost) effortlessly and, more importantly, without leaving your home. Wall Pilates also democratizes the discipline as it requires no equipment. Moreover, the resistance provided by the wall allows you to work your body in the same way as with the Pilates Reformer (the machine used in specialized studios), which is to say, deeply. It’s a sports routine that appears very accessible and can be practiced anywhere, anytime, regardless of your fitness level.
However, as with any sport, it’s important not to do anything that might cause injury. Therefore, we recommend using an app that not only shows you how to perform the movements but also helps you stay motivated and track your progress. Are you ready to try the summer sport?
The most well-known: BetterMe
As mentioned earlier, Tori Repa’s BetterMe app is the one that popularized Wall Pilates. It’s everywhere! More than just coaching, BetterMe provides comprehensive guidance. Once you install the app, you’re prompted to provide various information, including your goals (weight loss, muscle building, or simply staying in shape), age, weight, height, and lifestyle. All of this is used to create a workout program tailored to your needs.
Right now, the 28-day Wall Pilates challenge is what everyone is talking about (priced at €16.49). But you can also opt for a long-term subscription and access all the other services the app offers, including fitness, yoga, and even walking exercises. You can choose the session and coach you want to follow.
Very comprehensive, the app also helps you track your calorie intake by providing home-cooked meal ideas. To benefit from this personalized coaching, you’ll need to spend a minimum of €19.99 per month. Note that Tori Repa also has a YouTube channel where several Wall Pilates sessions are available for free.
Available on the App Store and Google Play.

The most specialized: Wall Pilates by Fit & Lean
Wall Pilates by Fit & Lean also offers a 30-day challenge that can easily be extended to 3 months or more. Here, only daily Wall Pilates exercises are offered, with a rest day every 6 sessions. In the form of drawings, the app shows you which movements to perform and how many repetitions are required. You can pause the exercise if you need to catch your breath or skip to the next one if you don’t like it. Wall Pilates by Fit & Lean is available in 20 languages and costs €4.99 for a 1-month challenge, €9.99 for 3 months, and €12.99 for an annual subscription.
Available on the App Store.

The most adaptable: Wall Pilates Workout at Home
Here’s another app dedicated specifically to Pilates. And this one doesn’t limit itself to wall exercises. It’s highly comprehensive, offering various exercises suitable for all levels and needs. There are programs for beginners looking to explore Pilates, a program specifically for weight loss, a 30-day Wall Pilates challenge, and even barre workouts. For those in a hurry, Wall Pilates Workout at Home offers express routines, either 5 or 7 minutes long, to be done daily. Easy to use, the app also works offline, which is handy when you’re on vacation and don’t have access to 4G or Wi-Fi.
Moreover, this app includes a range of features designed to help you achieve your fitness goals. In addition to the Wall Pilates training plan, you can follow sessions developed by Tori Repa and even access the Better Me Pilates program. The goal is to customize your workouts according to your needs and preferences while tracking your progress. Note that the app offers in-app purchases ranging from €4.99 to €16.99.

The most accessible: Rachel’s Fit Pilates
We conclude this selection with Rachel’s Fit Pilates YouTube channel. While it’s not a real app, this Pilates instructor (followed by 65.8k followers) regularly shares comprehensive workout videos on her channel. Staying true to the trend, she has recently started posting Wall Pilates exercises that you can do at home. Rachel has even developed a 28-day Wall Pilates challenge. Each video (available exclusively in English) lasts about fifteen minutes and focuses on a specific body part (upper body, arms, abs, buttocks, etc.). We appreciate that she explains how to perform each exercise without talking continuously, allowing us to concentrate. Most importantly, all the videos are freely accessible, and it’s easy to pause or rewind the exercise if needed.
