The Tanjazz Festival is back from September 22 to 24, 2023. For its 22nd edition, it offers a more cosmopolitan lineup than ever before. The Gipsy Kings feat. Nicolas Reyes (masters of rumba flamenca), pianist Omar Sosa with his mystical Afro-Cuban rhythms, virtuoso boogie-woogie trumpeter Nirek Mokar, and more. In short, Tanjazz 2023 promises to be electric! If you’re one of the lucky festival-goers, there’s nothing stopping you from wandering the streets of the white city. Las Chicas
Since its launch in 2012, this concept store has never ceased to amaze us with its selection of clothing, vintage jewelry (which we adore), mirrors, ceramics, candles, and more. We also love the tea room upstairs for a tasty break, as well as the Baba-men corner (originally just for men) which now offers a capsule collection for women.

La Casa d’Italia Tanjazz 2023
This family-friendly restaurant is a well-known stop for locals. Ideally situated in a wing of le Palais Moulay Hafid (the Moulay Hafid Palace), it offers pizzas, meats, fish, and more. The menu caters to all tastes. It is a gourmet stop not to be missed during Tanjazz 2023. A piece of advice: remember to book your table in advance.

Take some time to wander around the Kasbah. You’ll come across the boutique of the antique dealer and designer Adolfo de Velasco, a prominent figure in Tangier from the 1960s until his death in 2004, where you’ll find a selection of clothing and decorative art. Finally, take a moment to sip tea on the terrace of the Salon Bleu. The view is worth it.
