Are your locks dull, brittle, and lacking volume? In addition to your usual haircare routine, it might be time to consider a professional hair treatment at a salon. Thanks to new technologies and techniques, your mane can get a real boost in just a few sessions. Here are 6 next-gen treatments you need to try now.
In recent years, hair has become a central focus in the world of beauty, especially in salons that now go far beyond a simple shampoo. Many now offer advanced scalp and hair diagnostics. Using specialized microscopes, it’s possible to perform in-depth analyses and gain a better understanding of the condition of your scalp, roots, and hair fiber. René Furterer was among the first, back in the 1950s, to focus on scalp care. Since hair is inert, everything starts at the roots. Dandruff, irritation, or excess oil—these issues can all weaken your locks.
Based on the diagnosis, salons can then recommend professional treatments tailored to your specific needs. Both the treatments and product formulas are constantly being refined to target the hair from the outside and deep within the fiber. Much like facial treatments, your hair also deserves full and thorough care. And beyond cosmetics, new techniques are emerging to elevate your hair to the next level—such as “Tinsel Hair,” glittering extensions that have been making a major comeback in recent months.
Natural and anti-aging treatments at Esthécare
Esthécare has added not one, but two new haircare brands to its offerings. The first is Rica, an Italian brand present in over 70 countries worldwide. Rica stands out for its responsible approach to beauty—using natural ingredients, certified raw materials, and eco-friendly packaging. It’s a green brand that perfectly aligns with today’s values. Rica offers a range of treatments for damaged, dehydrated, curly, or colored hair, all featuring one common ingredient: volcanic water. Rich in minerals like copper, selenium, and zinc, and trace elements, volcanic water deeply strengthens and fortifies hair.
Rica is also known for its coloring products, such as Chromoplus, the first 100% vegan permanent hair color, and Cromearth, natural pigmented masks that enhance or neutralize tones in color-treated hair. These innovations are exciting to discover! While Esthécare already offers Rica’s treatment lines, the coloring products will be available in the near future.
The second brand is Miriam Quevedo, a Spanish brand created by a woman passionate about herbalism from a young age. She developed an anti-aging professional hair treatment that uses the same active ingredients as those found in skincare. Because it’s not just the skin that ages! Split ends, greying, thinning, brittleness, dryness, and porosity are all signs of aging hair fibers.
Though this is a natural process, it can be slowed and mitigated. To do so, Miriam Quevedo offers comprehensive treatments that act on both invisible effects (such as internal inflammation, excess free radicals, and high pH) and visible signs (weakened follicles, sensitive scalp, fragile and brittle hair), targeting the fiber, follicle, and scalp alike.
For example, the Extreme Caviar range—infused with caviar, eight multivitamins, and five trace elements—strengthens fragile and thinning hair. It inhibits the formation of DHT, an enzyme that accelerates the hair’s life cycle and prematurely depletes the follicle’s resources, making it a key culprit in hair loss. Meanwhile, Black Baccara, with fresh rose stem cells, promotes hair growth and supports a healthy mane.
There’s also Sublime Gold, a nourishing treatment infused with exclusive 24K bioactive gold. Designed with a holistic approach, it provides overall anti-aging action, transforming dry, porous, and damaged hair into a vibrant and healthy-looking mane. Finally, the brand’s latest innovation, Platinum and Diamonds, increases fiber thickness and delivers up to five times more volume.
After a thorough and personalized diagnosis, Esthécare’s expert team will recommend the professional hair treatment best suited to your needs—performed in-salon and continued at home for lasting results.

A tailored treatment at the Royal Mansour Casablanca Spa
The Royal Mansour Casablanca Spa has chosen the Leonor Greyl hair care brand, renowned for developing ultra-effective products while being natural. For a customized professional hair treatment, we recommend “Mille et Une Nuits”. It begins with a precise diagnosis, conducted using a microviewer that allows for a perfectly tailored treatment based on the hair fiber’s nature.
Next comes the full care routine. The hair is first deeply nourished with the application of Leonor Greyl Oil. This iconic pre-shampoo treatment combines coconut oil, organic jojoba oil, and organic sesame oil, known for their nourishing, repairing, and protective properties. The scalp is then revitalized with another blend of plant oils, such as ginseng, known for strengthening and revitalizing the hair. The lengths and ends benefit from an in-depth treatment with a concentrated and fully personalized mask.
Next, a true moment of relaxation begins with a soothing massage of the shoulders and neck using magnolia oil. A pure moment of well-being, extended under a steam helmet. The application of cupping therapy completes the ritual by stimulating the scalp’s microcirculation, optimizing the treatment’s benefits. Finally, the experience concludes with a carefully styled finish, enhancing the hair. 120 minutes of total relaxation!

Tinsel Hair at Studio B
As we mentioned, Tinsel Hair is the trending hair technique right now. Meaning “shiny hair,” this method involves applying multicolored, metallic-looking strands into your hair to give it a unique glow. A very fun concept for a party or special event, especially with summer approaching. As you may guess, Tinsel Hair isn’t new. Straight from the ‘90s, it was revived by Beyoncé in 2010 during the Grammy Awards. More recently, actress Mikey Madison showcased it in the film Anora.
If you want to try glittery hair yourself, two options are available. You can do it at home by ordering these small strands from Amazon or elsewhere. However, attaching them requires a certain technique. You need to tie them to a small strand of hair at the roots using a slipknot. We recommend the second option, which is to have it done at a salon.
Indeed, Studio B has recently added this service to their professional hair care menu. You can choose to apply it only around the face, on the front strands and the back of the head, or on the entire hair. Depending on the option chosen, the glittery extensions last between 3 to 12 weeks.
Tinsel Hair, Sunset Glow (around the face) at 220 DH, Drama Glow (around the face + back) at 350 DH, and Aurora Glow (full coverage) at 450 DH.
Available at Studio B, Oasis Living, corner of Route de l’Oasis and Rue de Franceville, Casablanca.

Head Spa at Madame K
Originating from Japan, Head Spa is gaining more followers in France and Morocco. In Casablanca, Madame K is one of the first institutes to bring this technique. This hair care treatment, rooted in ancient traditions, combines head massages and deep treatments. By stimulating blood circulation, it helps oxygenate the roots, promoting hair growth and vitality. It also repairs the lengths and treats the scalp while offering a pure moment of relaxation.
At Madame K, you can experience the “Evasion” ritual, a 15-step treatment starting with a scalp diagnosis. This is followed by Shiatsu massages, cleansing, exfoliation, deep treatment, radiofrequency, water shower, aromatherapy, and light therapy. An hour of deep relaxation. The “Renaissance” ritual also includes a scrub, a modeling massage, an LED mask session, and light therapy for the face and neck, aiming to give the skin a glow by reducing fine lines and stimulating collagen production. The treatment concludes with a blow-dry.
During the Head Spa, every product used is 100% plant-based, paraben-free, and chosen based on the established diagnosis. Notably, this professional hair treatment is safe during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and can even be offered to children.
Evasion Ritual: one-hour treatment at 550 DH. Renaissance Ritual: one and a half hours treatment at 800 DH.
